Men's Outdoor Track and Field 5/2/2026 10:40:42 PM UW-La Crosse Wins Fourth Consecutive Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship LA CROSSE, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse won the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Championship (presented by Culver’s) for at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex on May 2. It is the fourth consecutive title and for the Eagles and 60th in program history. UW-La Crosse compiled a championship record 335 points during the two-day event. UW-Oshkosh finished second with 129 points, UW-Eau Claire third with 93, UW-Platteville fourth with 73, UW-Whitewater fifth with 66, UW-Stevens Point sixth with 54, UW-Stout seventh with 53 and UW-River Falls eighth with 16. UW-La Crosse won 10 events during the second day of competition. Luke Schroeder won the 110-meter hurdles with an NCAA Division III and WIAC championship record time of 13.32 seconds. He also finished first in the 200-meter dash in 21.13 seconds. Cael Schoemann became the first individual in conference history to secure four straight 800-meter run titles posting a championship record time of 1:49.03. Collin Conzemius claimed his third consecutive 400-meter dash crown in 46.74 seconds, while Chuck Vater set a championship record time of 14:11.49 enroute to winning the 5,000-meter run. Additional first-place finishes for UW-La Crosse included: Jayden Zywicki in the 1,500-meter run (3:47.29); Anthony Staryszak in the discus (181-0 / 55.18m); Mitchell Eldredge in the high jump (6-9 1/2 / 2.07m); Jake Gardner in the shot put (57-6 1/2 / 17.54m); and Carter Pearson in the triple jump (48-3 1/4 / 14.71m). UW-Eau Claire’s Blake Postler won his second straight title in the 400-meter hurdles established a championship record mark of 50.87 seconds. UW-River Falls’ Jacob Balcome successfully defended his championship in the decathlon with 7,158 points, while UW-Oshkosh’s Dylan Doss claimed the 100-meter dash in 10.21 seconds. Doss teamed with Davian Willems, Londyn Little and Nolan Milas to produce a WIAC championship record of 39.78 seconds in the 4x100-meter relay. UW-Eau Claire’s Harrison Cull, Fischer Wait, Cameron Pease, Izaak Clendenning won the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:12.81. UW-La Crosse’s Aidan Matthai received the Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete Award. The Larry Zirgibel All-Sportsmanship Team was chosen for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It included one member from each team as selected by that team.
