Men's Indoor Track and Field 3/10/2026 11:54:15 AM Men’s Indoor Track & Field Awards Announced MADISON, Wis.--The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced its award winners for the 2026 men’s indoor track & field season, based on voting conducting by the conference coaches. University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh’s Dylan Doss and Joshua Rivers were selected the Track Performer of the Meet and Field Performer of the Meet, respectively, from the WIAC Championship (presented by Culver’s). UW-Stout’s Patrik Dortch was chosen the Newcomer of the Year and UW-La Crosse was tabbed the Coaching Staff of the Year. Doss won the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash with facility record times of 6.69 seconds and 21.48 seconds, respectively. He added a second-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a time 47.73 seconds, as well as the long jump with a leap of 24-1 (7.34m). Rivers was victorious in the long jump with a leap of 25-11 1/2 (7.91m). His jump established a conference championship record, WIAC season best and facility record. Rivers was also a member of the fourth-place 4x400-meter relay team that posted a time of 3:19.77. Dortch placed first in the triple jump with a leap of 46-11 3/4 (14.32m). A newcomer is defined as a student-athlete who used his first season of participation in men's indoor track & field this season. Transfers are not eligible unless they didn’t participate in men’s indoor track & field at their previous institution. UW-La Crosse’s coaching staff directed the squad to its fourth straight WIAC championship – and 23rd in the last 24 years. The staff includes: head coach Josh Buchholtz; assistant coaches Doug Geiwitz (pole vault), Matt Gordy (sprints), Mark Guthrie (400-meter dash/400-meter hurdles), Tommy Knoche (pole vault), Nick Kohl (jump), Jim Nelson (throws), Derek Stanley (distance), and Jakob Tordsen (multis); consultant Phil Esten; sports performance director Phil Whitesitt; and staff athletic trainers Dr. Brea Stanton and Kelsey Galles. # # # # #
