Eight Women’s Cross Country Teams, 18 Individuals Secure Scholar Recognition From USTFCCCCA

--Eight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) have received Scholar Team awards from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2025 season. In addition, 18 WIAC individuals received All-Academic laurels.
 
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (3.69), UW-La Crosse (3.65), UW-Oshkosh (3.30), UW-Platteville (3.46), UW-River Falls (3.58), UW-Stevens Point (3.55), UW-Stout (3.58) and UW-Whitewater (3.55) received Team Scholar recognition by having a cumulative grade point average of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
 
In order to qualify for team Scholar accolades, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
 
Among the 18 conference individuals receiving All-Academic recognition included: UW-Eau Claire’s Keeley Behr, Jordan Chen, Molly Heidorn and Ryann Wagner; UW-La Crosse’s Lucy Duchac, Lily Higgins, Becca Immer and Julia Zalewski; UW-Oshkosh’s Emma Boegh, Gwen Feitl and Lehna Mitchell; UW-Platteville’s Megan Hageman; UW-River Falls’ Laina Viere; UW-Stevens Point’s Meg McAfee; UW-Stout’s Arlie Kapaun and Claudia Lasiowski; and UW-Whitewater’s Abi Anderson and Payton Scoggin.
 
In order to qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
