Women's Cross Country 12/3/2025 1:05:34 PM UW-Eau Claire’s Heidorn Selected Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year; UW-La Crosse Tabbed Coaching Staff of the Year MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Molly Heidorn has been selected the 2025 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year, while UW-La Crosse was selected the Coaching Staff of the Year, based on voting by the conference coaches. Heidorn is the fourth runner in program history to receive the award, joining Lucy Ramquist (2015), Lexie Tremble (2019) and Carolyn Schult (2023). Heidorn won the WIAC championship and was the top conference finisher at the NCAA Division III championship and NCAA North Regional. She finished 31st at the national championship to secure All-America accolades and third at the regional event. Heidorn’s WIAC title was the sixth claimed by a Blugold runner. She also took seventh at the Augustana College (Ill.) Invitational. UW-La Crosse won the NCAA North Regional title for the second straight year and its fifth consecutive WIAC championship, before placing 12th at the NCAA Division III championship.
