Men's Indoor Track and Field 7/23/2025 10:38:08 AM UW-La Crosse Tabbed USTFCCCA Men’s Track & Field Scholar Team of the Year; UW-Eau Claire’s Strouf and UW-La Crosse’s Grant Matthai Lead 68 Individual Honorees Official USTFCCCA Releases NEW ORLEANS--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse has been tabbed the NCAA Division III Men’s Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Team of the Year for the 2024-25 academic year to lead six Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) programs collecting All-Academic Team honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). In addition, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Grant Matthai received Men’s Indoor Track Scholar Athlete of the Year honors and UW-Eau Claire’s Adam Strouf earned Men’s Indoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year recognition to lead 68 WIAC individuals receiving honors. UW-La Crosse posted a 3.288 grade point average and won NCAA Division III indoor and outdoor national titles. UW-Eau Claire (3.15), UW-Oshkosh (3.16), UW-Platteville (3.296), UW-Stevens Point (3.18) and UW-Stout (3.38) also received All-Academic Team recognition for compiling at least a 3.10 grade point average. Matthai received the individual honor after winning the 5,000-meter run at the NCAA indoor championship. He sustains a 4.00 grade point average. Strouf was victorious in the shot put at the indoor national championship and maintains a 3.84 grade point average. To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 and met at least one of the following athletic standards: have finished the indoor or outdoor season ranked in the national top 50 of an individual event or in the national top 35 of a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order list on TFRRS; or competed in the NCAA indoor or outdoor championship. # # # # #
