UW-Platteville Announces 2026 Hall of Fame Class

PLATTEVILLE, Wis.
--The University of Wisconsin-Platteville athletic department announced its next Hall of Fame Class, which will be inducted in May of 2026. The class features three athletes, one service member, and one team induction.

The inductees are:

Jeff Skemp, '09, Men's Basketball
Ann (Tank) Alleman, '12, Track and Field/Cross Country
Tera (Burr) Meyer, '09, Softball
Curt Fatzinger, '79, Service
1970 Football Team

Jeff Skemp – Men's Basketball
Jeff Skemp was a two-time All-American while playing for the Pioneers men's basketball team from 2004-2009. Following a Third Team All-American selection in 2007-08, Skemp earned First Team honors the following year while guiding UW-Platteville to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in a decade. His efforts in 2008-09 saw Skemp collect Region Player of the Year recognition from the NABC and D3hoops.com in addition to All-Region and All-WIAC honors. The 2007-08 WIAC Player of the Year is tied for ninth in school history in points scored (1466) and is second in career field goal percentage (60.1). Skemp still holds the program record for most games started and sits second in the record books in career blocked shots (130). He is tied for the single-game field goals made record with 17.

Ann (Tank) Alleman – Track and Field/Cross Country
Ann (Tank) Alleman is an eight-time All-American who competed on UW-Platteville's women's cross country and track and field teams from 2008-2012. A key piece in the Pioneers' 4x400 meter relay team which took home All-American honors five times in her career (two indoor, three outdoor), Alleman also added a pair of individual All-American selections in the 800-meter run. Alleman was named First Team All-WIAC eight times, spanning several events including the distance medley relay, 800-meter, 400-meter, 4x400 meter relay, and 4x800 meter relay. The 2012 WIAC Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete winner still holds the indoor and outdoor women's 400-meter school record and owns top four marks in a multitude of other events. In 2011-12, Alleman earned CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team honors and was UW-Platteville's Female Athlete of the Year.

Tera (Burr) Meyer – Softball
Tera (Burr) Meyer is one of the best softball players in UW-Platteville history and her name is etched throughout the program's record books. The four-time WIAC First Team selection still holds career school records in batting average (.446), hits (202), runs (129), doubles (35), triples (14), and home runs (24) while owning several other single-season and single-game marks. In her senior season, Meyer was named UW-Platteville's Co-Female Athlete of the Year in addition to the WIAC's Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Meyer brought home All-Region honors three times and earned several academic awards, including a spot on the COSIDA Academic All-American Team in 2009.

Curt Fatzinger – Service
Curt Fatzinger dedicated nearly 40 years of service to UW-Platteville athletics and recreation. Fatzinger arrived on campus in the fall of 1976 as a student-athlete and leader on the Pioneers baseball team before transitioning into several coaching roles, including basketball, softball, and baseball while also serving as the director of intramurals. Following those roles, Fatzinger was appointed Director of Athletic Facilities and Recreation, where he scheduled of thousands of athletic events, maintained athletic venues, and coordinated thousands of athletic and campus events. Fatzinger also helped oversee the Chicago Bears Training Camp when hosted by UW-Platteville and was instrumental in the overall operations and success of the campus.

1970 Football Team
The 1970 UW-Platteville Football Team posted the only 10-0 regular season in program history. The group won the Wisconsin State University Conference (WSUC) Championship by going 8-0 and advanced to the NAIA Semifinals before falling to Texas A&I, the eventual National Champion. The 1970 team still holds several top statistical marks in program history, including the most total yards of offense (686) in a 70-6 win over UW-Stout. The Pioneers threw seven touchdowns in a game twice on the season, which it tied for the most all-time in single game.

The induction ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, May 31 on the UW-Platteville campus. Additional information will be forthcoming with details on how to purchase a seat at the ceremony.
