UW-Eau Claire and UW-Oshkosh Win NCAA Women’s Volleyball Regional Titles

MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and UW-Oshkosh emerged with regional titles of the NCAA Division III Women’s Volleyball Championship on Nov. 22.
 
The Blugolds and Titans advance to the national quarterfinals that will be held Dec. 3 at the Shirk Center in Bloomington, Ill. The semifinals will take place Dec. 4 and championship Dec. 6.  This marks the second straight year that two Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) teams earned spots in the Elite Eight, after UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater were representatives a season ago.
 
UW-Eau Claire (30-4) upended Carnegie Mellon University (Pa.) in Pittsburgh, Pa., 23-25, 25-18, 18-25, 25-23, 15-7 to make their first national quarterfinal appearance since 2021 when they emerged with the national title. The Blugolds also beat St. Mary’s College (Md.) 25-13, 25-23, 25-13 and Wittenberg University (Ohio) 25-23, 15-25, 25-14, 25-18 in the regional.
 
UW-Oshkosh (31-3) secured its third straight national quarterfinal showing with a 25-18, 25-17, 25-20 triumph over Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) at Kolf Sports Center. The Titans also beat Greenville University (Ill.) 25-23, 25-12, 25-18 and Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) 25-20, 25-17, 25-17 in regional action.
 
UW-Whitewater also represented the WIAC in NCAA regional competition in Bloomington, Ill., and posted a 25-21, 25-11, 25-15 win over Coe College (Iowa) before being eliminated by Calvin University (Mich.) 29-27, 12-25, 25-23, 25-18. The Warhawks completed the 2025 campaign with a 26-8 record and made their 36th NCAA appearance.
