University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh’s Samantha Perlberg was selected the Offensive Player of the Year, while UW-Eau Claire’s Kaitlyn Erickson received Defensive Player of the Year honors. UW-Eau Claire’s Alex Kiebel was tabbed the Newcomer of the Year and UW-Oshkosh’s Jon Ellmann the Coach of the Year. Perlberg secured first team honors for the third straight year and is the second player in program history to receive the offensive award, joining Katelyn Malcheski in 2015. Perlberg leads the conference with 1,144 total attempts, 434 kills and 488.5 points. She recorded WIAC season-high 32 kills against UW-Whitewater on Oct. 29, and has reached double-figures in kills in 20-of-29 matches this year. Perlberg eclipsed the 1,000-career kills against Hope College (Mich.) on Sept. 13, and currently owns 1,165 career kills. Erickson is the first Blugold to claim the defensive award. She was the conference’s Newcomer of the Year during the 2024 campaign. Erickson has collected 413 digs this season – a mark that ranks sixth in the conference, including a season-high 28 against Coe College (Iowa) on Oct. 10. Erickson has a 17-match streak with double-figures in digs. Kiebel is second in the WIAC with 862 assists and third with 47 services aces. She owns the three highest single-match assist totals in the conference this season. A newcomer is defined as a student-athlete who used her first season of participation in women’s volleyball this season. Transfers are not eligible unless they didn’t participate in women’s volleyball at their previous institution. Repeat selections on the first team from the 2024 campaign included: UW-Eau Claire’s Bailey Leeke; UW-Platteville’s Kierney McDonald; UW-Stout’s Brooke McCune; and UW-Whitewater’s Aubrie Krzus. McDonald was tabbed the Newcomer of the Year in 2022, while Krzus received the distinction in 2023. Ellman secured the coaching award for the fourth straight year – the longest streak in conference history. UW-Oshkosh has compiled a 26-3 record this season and claimed the WIAC regular-season championship for the third consecutive year and 16th time in program history. An All-Sportsmanship Team was announced for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It included one member from each team as selected by that team. 2025 All-WIAC Women’s Volleyball Team Name, School, Year, Position, Hometown (High School) Blessing Adebisi, River Falls, Junior, Middle Blocker, White Bear Lake, Minn.
