Women's Golf 10/6/2025 1:08:33 PM UW-Whitewater’s Reiser Named Women’s Golf Judy Kruckman Scholar Athlete MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Abbie Reiser has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Golf Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete Award. A senior from Washington, Ill. (Washington Community), Reiser sustains a 3.937 grade point average and is majoring marketing and public policy & administration. She is a three-time Women’s Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar and three-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. Reiser has been named to UW-Whitewater’s Dean’s List, is a UW-Whitewater Honors Program Member and received the Chancellor’s Scholarship. She was the recipient of the Lucy Baker Involvement Award in 2023 and 2024 - an award given to less than 1% of the student body. In 2024, Reiser added the Executive Board Member of the Year Award for the Whitewater Student Government. Reiser was tabbed the WIAC Kwik Trip Newcomer of the Year in 2022 and secured a spot on the 2024 WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team. She helped UW-Whitewater win the conference championship in 2022, 2023 and 2024, and has finished in the top-30 individually in each of her four years. Reiser is the Director of Academic Affairs for the Whitewater Student Government, as well as Vice Chair of Educational Outreach for the Segregated University Fee Allocation Committee. In addition, she is a representative on the Non-Allocable Leadership Team. Reiser advanced to the finals American Marketing Association (AMA) Perfect Pitch competition in 2023 and 2024. In 2023, she was an account executive on the Protect Wisconsin Waterways Account in the AMA. Reiser was a member of Future Business Leaders of America and UW-Whitewater’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She is a talent & culture intern with the PGA Tour. UW-La Crosse’s Claire Kelbel (Sr., Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) and UW-Oshkosh’s Taryn Endres (Sr., Windsor, Wis./DeForest) were also nominated for this year’s scholar-athlete award. The WIAC Scholar-Athlete Award is named after Judy Kruckman, who served as Assistant Commissioner for the WIAC from 1996-98. Prior to this appointment, she was Commissioner of the Wisconsin Women’s Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WWIAC) from October, 1984 - September, 1996. Kruckman was the women’s athletics director at UW-Eau Claire from 1974-84, and one of the original representatives to the WWIAC when it formed in 1971. In order to be nominated for the scholar-athlete award, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.50 grade point average. In addition, she must be in her last year of competition, or on schedule to graduate this academic year, and have competed for a minimum of two years. The award is based on academic achievements, athletics accomplishments and involvement in other campus activities, organizations and community service projects. # # # # #
