UW-Stout Completes NCAA Women’s Golf Championship Action

PALM DESERT, Calif.--University of Wisconsin-Stout placed 21st out of 34 teams following two days of competition at the NCAA Division III Women’s Golf Championship at Desert Willow Golf Resort on May 20.
 
Making their fourth national championship appearance in program history, the Blue Devils posted a two-round total of 630 strokes (327-303), however the top 15 advanced to the final rounds.
 
Individually, Julia Imai paced the Blue Devils with a two-day total of 77-73=150 (+6) to tie for 39th. Imai entered the final holes of the second round within the cut line for the individual championship before narrowly missing advancement to the final rounds. In her second round, Imai played even par on 11 holes and recorded three birdies.

Brin Neumann compiled an 84-74=158 (+14), while Sarah Chaffee carded an 85-75=160 (+16), Ashleigh Johnson had an 81-81=162 (+18) and Hallie Tulip recorded an 87-90=177 (+33).
 
The national championship was hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (Calif.).
