Student-Athlete Spotlight: Jake Schneider, UW-Platteville

Why did you choose UW-Platteville?
I chose UW-Platteville because of the great construction management program and for the opportunity to keep playing baseball.­­
 
What other clubs/organizations on campus are you involved in?
PSAAC.

What do you like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and being a NCAA Division III student-athlete?
The best part of athletics is being able to compete with my closest friends every day against some of the best teams in the country.

My Dad. He has always been by my side and has pushed me to be the athlete and person I am today.
 
Do you have any words of advice for younger/upcoming student-athletes?
Come in with an open mindset and a willingness to work. Every year seems to go faster and faster, so enjoy every moment you can.
 
One word that describes you?
Determined.
 
What is your dream job? 
Project Manager.
 
Three things on your "bucket list"?
---Go elk hunting in Montana.
---Catch a tarpon in Florida.
---Own a cabin in Canada.
 
A non-athletic talent that you have is?
Really good at Wii Golf.

Do you have any pre-game/pre-event superstitions or rituals? If so, what are they?
Before a start, I always eat a Kit-Kat.
