Baseball 6/26/2025 9:53:30 AM UW-Whitewater’s Vodenlich Tabbed ABCA/ATEC Coach of the Year Official ABCA Releases - National | Regional GREENSBORO, N.C.--University of Wisconsin-Whitewater head coach John Vodenlich has been named the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/ATEC Division III National Coach of the Year. Vodenlich led UW-Whitewater to the third national championship in program history and a 49-6 record. The 49 wins established a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) and program record. UW-Whitewater also secured its 23rd WIAC regular-season championship and ninth conference tournament title. Vodenlich claimed the national honor for the third time in program history (2005, 2014). Since 2005, he is one of just two coaches out of the nearly 400 institutions that compete in Division III baseball to have three national titles. Furthermore, since the first NCAA Division III baseball national championship in 1976, Vodenlich is one of just four coaches to have hoisted the national championship trophy at least three times. Vodenlich was also named the ABCA Region IX Coach of the Year and WIAC Kwik Trip Coach of the Year this season. # # # # #
