UW-Whitewater Lands Four On Academic All-America® Baseball Team

AUSTIN, Texas
--Four University of Wisconsin-Whitewater student-athletes have been named to the 2025 NCAA Division III Academic All-America® Baseball Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators.
 
Aaron Holland, Matt Scolan and Andy Thies were first team selections, while Logan Eisenbarth secured third team honors. The four selections are the most by any baseball program in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) history.
 
Holland boasts a 3.74 grade point average and is majoring in finance. He was recently named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) All-Region IX Defensive Team and All-America Second Team, as well as the D3baseball.com All-America Fourth Team.
 
Scolan secured Academic All-America® honors for the second straight year after being tabbed the Academic All-American of the Year in baseball a season ago. He graduated with a degree in finance with a 3.81 grade point average. Scolan received the WIAC Baseball Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete Award this season and was tabbed the WIAC Kwik Trip Position Player of the Year. He also secured All-America First Team recognition from the ABCA and D3baseball.com.
 
Thies is majoring in accounting and sustains a 3.68 grade point average. He secured a spot on the ABCA All-America Third Team.
 
Eisenbarth maintains a 3.64 grade point average and is majoring in physical education. He was selected to the ABCA All-Region 9 Second Team.
 
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution, compete in 90 percent of the institution’s games played or start in at least 66 percent of the institution’s games (for pitchers, it is 17 appearances or 25 innings pitched), and is at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
