Student-Athlete Spotlight: Bradley Comer, UW-Stevens Point

Each week during the 2022-23 academic year, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its eight institutions for a “Student-Athlete Spotlight” Q & A segment. Why did you choose UW-Stevens Point?
I chose UW-Stevens Point for many reasons, but a few are, the excellent education program that they offer, the great baseball program,and also how amazing the community is.

What other clubs/organizations on campus are you involved in?
I am currently only playing baseball here, but I was previously in SAAC and SHAPER on campus.
 
What causes do you care about?
One main cause I care about is the Special Olympics and helping those that are very talented human beings see how awesome they really are.

What do you like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and being a NCAA Division III student-athlete?
What I like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is how competitive this conference is. It is the best Division III baseball conference in the nation. Being an NCAA Division III student-athlete, you really are playing for the love of the game and really get what you work for so it's very rewarding.

What is your greatest sports moment? 
My greatest sports moment is when we went to Whitewater for the super regionals and beat them on their home field to go to the World Series.
 
What is your favorite thing to do off the court/field with your teammates?
My favorite thing to do off the field with my teammates is to hang out with the team at one of our houses playing cards (gets pretty intense).
 
One word that describes your team?
Unbounded.
 
One word that describes you?
Driven.
 
What is your dream job? 
My dream job is to teach physical education along with adaptive physical education and coach baseball.
 
Three things on your "bucket list"?
---Travel to all 50 states.
---Visit every professional baseball stadium.
---Own my own animal shelter.
 
A non-athletic talent that you have is?
I can draw a little.

Do you have any pre-game/pre-event superstitions or rituals? If so, what are they?
I have to wear the same compression tights every game. I can only get 5 to 6 hours of sleep the night before games.
