Student-Athlete Spotlight: Will Pytlaski, UW-Whitewater

Each week during the 2022-23 academic year, the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) will feature two student-athletes (one male and one female) from one of its eight institutions for a “Student-Athlete Spotlight” Q & A segment. Why did you choose UW-Whitewater?
I loved the atmosphere and community. I had familiarity with the school because my father played football here, and I had the opportunity to play a collegiate sport.
 
What other clubs/organizations on campus are you involved in?
Student-Athletic Advisory Council and Accounting Society.
 
What causes do you care about?
Mental health awareness and expanding heart research for athletes.

What do you like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference and being a NCAA Division III student-athlete?
The relationships you create and the team atmosphere are important to me. Competing in the WIAC is also very challenging as it is always competitive and there are no easy games.

I have a great memory.

Do you have any pre-game/pre-event superstitions or rituals? If so, what are they?
I always eat the same sandwich on the way to road games.
