MADISON, Wis.
--University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Logan Pearson has been named the 2025 D3hoops.com Player of the Year and All-America First Team. In addition, he secured a spot on the 2024-25 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) NCAA Division III All-America First Team. UW-Eau Claire’s Carter Huschka was a third team selection from D3hoops.com.

Pearson becomes the second individual in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) history to secure the top award from D3hoops.com, joining UW-Whitewater Chris Davis in 2012. He is one of just two UW-Platteville men's basketball players to earn Player of the Year, alongside Merrill Brunson, who collected the honors from the NABC back in 1999.

Pearson finished with a conference-leading 19.8 points per game. The two-time WIAC Kwik Trip Player of the Year has etched his name in the UW-Platteville record books multiple times over the course of the season. He became the program's all-time leading scorer with 2,112 career points and holds Pioneers records with 763 career field goals made and 106 consecutive starts. Pearson concluded his career sixth in WIAC history in points scored, one of just eight players in conference history to break the 2,000 points mark.

Huschka is the program’s first D3hoops.com All-America selection since 2001, when Sherm Carstensen secured first team recognition. Huschka led the Blugolds with 19.0 points per game this season and ranked second on the team with 8.1 rebounds per contest. He finished second in the WIAC in scoring average and third in both rebounding and blocks per game (1.2). He had seven double-doubles this season and averaged 20.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per contest in eight games against Top 25 opponents.
