Men's Cross Country 7/12/2022 3:21:59 PM UW-River Falls Announces Cross Country/Track & Field Coaching Updates **Release courtesy of UW-River Falls Sports Information RIVER FALLS, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-River Falls athletics director Crystal Lanning announced today, July 12, the appointment of Meaghan Koski as the Falcons head men's and women's cross country coach, as well as elevating Andy Eggerth to the director of cross country and track & field. Eggerth, who recently completed his first season as the UWRF head track & field coach, will now oversee both the cross country and track & field teams. Koski, who comes to UWRF after a stint as an assistant cross country/track & field coach at the University of Nebraska Omaha, will lead the UWRF men's and women's cross country teams while serving as an assistant under Eggerth to the track & field teams. "I'm excited to welcome Coach Koski to UW-River Falls to lead our men's and women's cross country and distance programs," said Lanning. "She brings valuable experience as a coach and former All-American, and she has a passion for recruiting and developing competitive student-athletes. As a united program, I am excited to see our cross country and track and field programs grow under the leadership of Coach Eggerth, Coach Koski, and the rest of the coaching staff." Before serving two years as an assistant coach at UNO, Koski spent time coaching at the University of South Alabama as a volunteer assistant coach while pursuing a master's degree in sport management, and at Holy Family High School in Victoria, Minn. She has also participated in the USTFCCCA Female Coaching Mentorship Program and is Level I Technical Track & Field certified. A native of Minnetonka, Minn., Koski was a nine-time All-Conference honoree at the University of Minnesota-Duluth as a member of the Bulldogs cross country and track & field teams. She also was a two-time All-Region award winner and earned All-America status at the 2017 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships. Koski graduated from UMD in 2018 with a degree in Communication.
