Men's Cross Country 12/16/2025 11:56:14 AM UW-La Crosse’s Stanley Tabbed USTFCCCA Men’s National Coach of the Year; Claims Regional Awards Official USTFCCCA Releases - Regional | National NEW ORLEANS--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse head coach Derek Stanley has been selected the 2025 NCAA Division III Men’s Cross Country National Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Stanley also claimed the North Region Coach of the Year distinction for men and women. It is the second straight year Stanley has earned all three USTFCCCA awards. He has been named the North Region Men's Coach of the Year three straight seasons (2023-25) and North Region Women's Coach of the Year three different seasons (2021, 2024-25). Stanley led the men’s team to the NCAA Division III national championship. It was the second straight national title for UW-La Crosse and fifth in program history. Earlier in the season, UW-La Crosse won the NCAA Division III North Regional for the third consecutive year and WIAC championship for the eight straight season. Stanley directed the women’s team to the NCAA Division III North Regional title for the second straight year and posted a first-place finish at the conference championship for the fifth consecutive season. UW-La Crosse finished 12th at the NCAA Division III championship. # # # # #
