UW-La Crosse's Gregg and UW-Eau Claire's Schroedl Named WIAC Kwik Trip Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week

MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's Ethan Gregg and UW-Eau Claire's Abrahm Schroedl have been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Men's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for the week of April 18 - 24.

Gregg (So., La Crosse, Wis./Aquinas) won the 10,000-meter run at the UW-La Crosse Phil Esten Challenge, setting a school record with a time of 29:36.86. He broke Jim Drews' school record of 29:57.64 set in 1975. Gregg's time ranks fourth on the NCAA Division III Honor Roll and first in the WIAC.

Schroedl (Sr., DeForest, Wis./DeForest) won the decathlon at the UW-La Crosse Phil Esten Challenge with 6,743 points. The point total ranks third in NCAA Division III and first in the WIAC. Schroedl also cleared 16-2 3/4 (4.95m) in the pole vault during the decathlon. The height ranks fifth in NCAA Division III and first in the WIAC.
