Women's Tennis 5/14/2026 1:33:58 PM UW-La Crosse’s Hehli Named ITA Central Region Women’s Coach of the Year **UW-La Crosse Sports Information contributed to this release TEMPE, Ariz.--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Bill Hehli has been named the 2025-26 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA)/Dunlop NCAA Division III Central Region Women's Coach of the Year. Completing his 31st season as head coach, Hehli led the team to a 21-3 overall and 6-0 mark in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). The Eagles tied a school record for victories, matching the total from 2010-11 and 2011-12 when they finished 21-5. UW-La Crosse earned an automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Division III Championship with a 4-3 victory over UW-Whitewater in the championship match of the WIAC Tournament (presented by Culver’s) on April 25. The Eagles, ranked No. 28 in the ITA, made their third (2001, 2007, 2026) appearance in the national tournament this year, earning a 4-0 first round victory over UW-Superior on May 8 before a 4-0 loss at No. 19-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) on May 9. Finishing 6-0 in WIAC duals in the fall, UW-La Crosse claimed its 16th league title in school history and first since 2006. The Eagles finished undefeated in conference duals for the third time in school history (2005, 2006, 2025). Hehli was voted the 2026 WIAC Coach of the Year for the seventh time in his career (2000, 2005, 2012, 2017, 2020, 2024, 2026). # # # # #
