For the week, Burrill hit .394 with a .472 on base percentage, two home runs, two doubles, 12 RBI and 10 runs scored. He was also a perfect 12-for-12 on stolen bases, including two games with three. In the Eagles extra inning loss to UW-Whitewater, Curtis threw eight shutout innings, allowing just two hits while striking out six. Against UW-Stout on April 11, Curtis threw a complete game in UW-La Crosse’s 7-1 win. He allowed just one run on three hits and two walks while striking out eight. (Amherst) WOMEN’S LACROSSE Offense Samantha Hayek, Senior (Scandia, Minn./Forest Lake), Attack of UW-River Falls Hayek became UW-River Falls’ all-time leading goal scorer with her 156th career goal in a win over UW-Stout, surpassing Emma Kohlbeck’s previous record of 152 (2019–22). Earlier in the week, she also eclipsed the 100-career assist milestone against UW-Eau Claire. Hayek powered the Falcon offense during a 2-0 week in WIAC play, totaling 15 points on nine goals and six assists. She added 20 shots with 16 on goal, posting an .800 shot-on-goal percentage. Lathrop went 7-for-12 from the plate, including batting 1.000 against Northwestern in the first game of the non-conference doubleheader. She recorded 5 RBI and a double on the week, while slugging at .667. Lathrop scored four runs and was 100% on steal attempts with her six stolen bases. (Downers Grove North) Pitcher Kasey Felden, Freshman (Franklin, Wis./Franklin), Pitcher of UW-Eau Claire Felden went 2-0 during the week, throwing a combined 13 scoreless innings against No. 16-ranked UW-Oshkosh and the University of Northwestern-St. Paul (Minn.). On April 8, Felden pitched six straight scoreless innings and then reentered in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded to strikeout two Eagles and secure the 3-1 win. On April 11, she kept the Titans off the scoreboard for seven straight innings, pitching the entire game, and sealing the 3-0 win in the top of the 7th as the weather turned to constant rain. Saturday's 3-0 victory was Felden's first career complete game shutout as she tallied five strikeouts and recorded 119 pitches with 71 of them being strikes. Invitational, Schroeder ran a time of 13.84 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles. This time breaks a 20-year old UW-La Crosse record of 13.98 seconds. In the trials of the 100-meter dash, she ran 11.77 seconds on her way to winning in the finals. That time broke her own school record and currently ranks first in the WIAC and fifth on the NCAA Division Honor Roll. Peterson also helped the 4x100-meter relay to a third-place finish, establishing the third-best time in program history.
