Women's Indoor Track and Field 3/20/2026 12:21:57 PM Three Receive USTFCCCA Women’s North Region Awards; 90 Claim All-Region Recognition NEW ORLEANS--Three Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) individuals have received NCAA Division III regional awards from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2026 women’s indoor season. In addition, 90 conference individuals claimed All-Region honors. University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s Isabel Peterson was tabbed the North Region Track Athlete of the Year, while UW-Stout’s Leah Zastrow received North Region Field Athlete of the Year honors and UW-La Crosse’s Katie Wagner claimed North Region Assistant Coach of the Year accolades. Peterson won the 200-meter dash and placed third in the 60-meter dash at the NCAA Division III championship. Her winning time of 23.78 seconds in the 200-meter dash made her the second-fastest performer in NCAA Division III history. Earlier in the season, Peterson equaled the fourth-fastest performer in NCAA Division III history in the 60-meter dash with her 7.46 seconds effort. Zastrow won the pole vault at the national championship, clearing 13-7 1/4 (4.15m) to become the eighth-best performer in NCAA Division III history. She won seven of the eight pole vault competitions she entered this season, including the WIAC championship. Wagner secured the distinction for the sixth time in her career (2010, 2014, 2015, 2023, 2025). She coached athletes to seven All-America honors at the NCAA Division III championship, highlighted by a runner-up finish in the 4×400-meter relay. Her athletes scored 127 of a conference-record 328 points at the WIAC championship. The USTFCCCA also announced the All-North Region Team. To be named All-Region, an athlete must be ranked in the top-five of an individual event in the region on the TFRRS Descending Order List. In addition, each member of a region’s top-three relay team was selected for distinction. Only athletes from USTFCCCA member institutions are eligible for the award.
