UW-Eau Claire and UW-La Crosse Share Lead At Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship

BROWN DEER, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and UW-La Crosse share the lead at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship (presented by Culver’s) at Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center on Feb. 18.
 
UW-La Crosse, the defending champion, and UW-Eau Claire each compiled 74 points through the first two events. UW-Oshkosh is third with 64 points, while UW-Whitewater and UW-Stevens Point are tied for fourth with 58.
 
UW-La Crosse’s Shefali Ramakrishnan, Zoey Rank, Greta Wiskus and Libby Cleveland combined for a conference championship record time of 1:43.17 in the 200-yard medley relay.
 
UW-Eau Claire also posted a conference championship record time of 7:35.70 in the 800-yard freestyle relay. Grace Schnabl, Emma Vogen, Anwen Smith and Molly Hosack comprised the winning team.
 
Competition resumes on Feb. 19, with the prelims at 10:00 a.m. and the finals at 6:30 p.m.

200-Yard Medley Relay:  UW-La Crosse (Shefali Ramakrishnan, Zoey Rank, Greta Wiskus, Libby Cleveland), 1:43.17*
 
800-Yard Freestyle Relay:  UW-Eau Claire (Grace Schnabl, Emma Vogen, Anwen Smith, Molly Hosack), 7:35.70*
