General 1/28/2026 4:56:54 PM Six Institutions Ranked In Top 49 of Learfield Directors’ Cup Standings CLEVELAND--Six Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) institutions are ranked in the top 49 of the 2025-26 Learfield Directors’ Cup NCAA Division III standings following the completion of the fall sports season. University of Wisconsin-La Crosse leads the conference entries in the standings, ranking ninth with 278.50 points, while UW-Eau Claire is 19th with 224, UW-Whitewater tied for 34th with 169, UW-Platteville tied for 42nd with 119, and UW-Oshkosh and UW-River Falls tied for 49th with 100. UW-Stevens Point is 97th with 56 points. The WIAC captured three NCAA Division III championship in the fall, including UW-La Crosse in men’s cross country, UW-Oshkosh in women’s volleyball and UW-River Falls in football. Tufts University (Mass.) tops the standings with 485 points, while Johns Hopkins University (Md.) is second with 454.50, Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) third with 358.50, Williams College (Mass.) fourth with 343.50 and Trinity University (Texas) fifth with 334. A total of 179 institutions are represented in the fall standings. The standings recognize the best NCAA Division III overall athletics programs in the country and are based upon the completion of women and men’s cross country, field hockey, football, women and men’s soccer and women’s volleyball. The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA championships. # # # # #
