2025 WIAC Women’s Soccer Preview

MADISON, Wis.--The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced its preview and predictions for the 2025 women’s soccer season. The predictions were voted on by the conference’s head coaches and sports information directors.
 
University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, the three-time defending champion, is predicted to claim the regular-season title. The Eagles also won their third consecutive conference tournament crown a year ago and made their fourth straight NCAA appearance.
 
The remaining order in the conference predictions features: UW-Platteville, UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stevens Point, UW-River Falls, UW-Whitewater, UW-Oshkosh and UW-Stout.
 
Marcos Rodriguez begins his first season at the helm of UW-Stout’s program. He was the head coach of the Blue Devils men’s program a year ago and coached the goalkeepers for the women’s team in 2021.
 
WIAC teams will begin their non-conference schedules on Aug. 29, while the conference slate will commence on Oct. 1. The top-six teams in the conference standings will qualify for the WIAC Tournament (presented by Culver’s). The event will be held Nov. 5, Nov. 7 and Nov. 9, with all matches hosted by the higher-seeded team. The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic NCAA bid.
