EAU CLAIRE, Wis.
--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Director of Athletics Jason Verdugo announced Wednesday the hiring of Kyle Seyer as Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Men's and Women's Tennis.

In his position, Seyer will oversee both the Blugolds men's and women's tennis programs, along with serving in an administrative role within Blugold Athletics.

"We are pleased to announce the addition of Kyle to our administrative team as the leader of our tennis programs," Verdugo said. "His exceptional energy and work ethic will significantly enhance both areas. Kyle's foremost strength lies in his remarkable ability to connect with student-athletes."

Seyer joins UW-Eau Claire from Regis Catholic Schools in Eau Claire, where he served as Athletic Director from 2023 to 2025. He was also the head boys and girls tennis coach at Regis, leading the Ramblers programs from 2012 to 2025. In that span, he coached 12 teams to the WIAA State Tournament, including the girls teams that finished as Division 2 state runner-up in 2016 and 2021.

He led the Regis boys and girls varsity teams to a combined record of 397-131 during his time as head coach. Eight student-athletes earned all-state status in Seyer's programs. Administratively, he served on multiple councils and committees within the state's high school tennis community.

Seyer graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations.

"I'm truly grateful and excited to begin my role as Director of Men's and Women's Tennis and Assistant Athletic Director at UW-Eau Claire," Seyer said. "Returning to campus as an alumnus makes this opportunity very meaningful and full circle. I sincerely appreciate the trust Jason Verdugo and (Associate Athletic Director) Robin Baker have placed in me. I look forward to leading our tennis programs and contributing to the continued success of Blugold Athletics."
