UW-Eau Claire’s Stricker and UW-La Crosse’s Magolski Secure WIAC Honors

MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Jared Stricker has been selected the 2025 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Wrestler of the Year, while UW-La Crosse’s Wyatt Magolski was chosen the Kwik Trip Newcomer of the Year based on voting conducted by the conference coaches.
 
Stricker secured the award for the second straight year. He won his second consecutive NCAA Division III title at 174 pounds with a 7-1 decision over Nathan Lackman of Alvernia University (Pa.). Stricker is the first two-time national champion in program history. He also won the 174-pound crown at the NCAA Division III Region VII Regional and WIAC Championship. Stricker finished the season with a 43-0 record and ends his Blugold career with a 71-match win streak. He holds school and WIAC records with 169 career victories. Stricker also compiled a program record 75 career pins.
 
Magolski finished third at 133 pounds at the NCAA Division III Region VII Regional to earn a spot in the NCAA Division III Championship. He was the runner-up at 133 pounds at the WIAC Championship. Magolski compiled a 26-11 record during the 2025 campaign with 10 pins. A newcomer is defined as a student-athlete who used his first season of participation in wrestling this season. Transfers are not eligible unless they didn’t participate in wrestling at their previous institution.
