Eight Women’s Cross Country Teams; 23 Individuals Secure USTFCCCA All-Academic Recognition

--All eight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) women’s cross country teams and 23 individuals have received All-Academic recognition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2024 season.
 
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire (3.62 grade point average), UW-La Crosse (3.528), UW-Oshkosh (3.43), UW-Platteville (3.547), UW-River Falls (3.61), UW-Stevens Point (3.34), UW-Stout (3.462) and UW-Whitewater (3.466) received All-Academic Team honors for having a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.10 on a 4.00 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.
 
Among the 23 conference individuals recognized were: UW-Eau Claire’s Keeley Behr, Molly Heidorn, Bella Hooker, Allison Weissinger and Reagan Zimmerman; UW-La Crosse’s Katelyn Chadwick, Lucy Duchac, Gwen Hinz, Madelynn McIntyre and Mallory Reiser; UW-Oshkosh’s Gracie Buchinger and Libby Geisness; UW-Platteville’s Hannah Fliss; UW-River Falls’ Laina Viere; UW-Stout’s McKayla Felton, Arely Jaime-Luevano, Brekkyn Lammert and Claudia Lasiowski; and UW-Whitewater’s Ari De La Cerda, Katie Erb, Renee Forystek, Ella Hansen and Payton Scoggin.
 
In order to qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
