Women's Cross Country 12/4/2024 12:57:47 PM UW-Stout’s Felton Selected Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year; Blue Devil Coaching Staff Honored MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Stout’s Mckayla Felton has been tabbed the 2024 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Women’s Cross Country Athlete of the Year, while UW-Stout was selected the Kwik Trip Coaching Staff of the Year, based on voting by the conference coaches. Felton is the first runner in program archives to receive the distinction. She was the top WIAC runner at the NCAA Division III Championship by nearly 15 seconds, posting a time of 21:53.6 on the 6,000-meter course. Felton placed third at the NCAA Division III North Regional and seventh at the WIAC Championship. Her time of 21:41.5 at the conference championship was a season best for a 6,000-meter event. UW-Stout produced a runner-up performance at the WIAC Championship – the best finish in program history. The Blue Devils matched their best regional finish, placing fifth at the NCAA Division III North Regional. UW-Stout won the Toni St. Pierre Invitational in St. Cloud, Minn., and took fourth at the St. Olaf (Minn.) Invitational.
