Women's Soccer 12/19/2024 3:30:44 PM UW-La Crosse’s Arndt and McMahon Earn United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American First Team Honors KANSAS CITY, Mo.--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Ellie Arndt and Alexis McMahon have been selected to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Scholar All-American First Team. Both individuals were named to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches All-North/Central Region Scholar First Team. It marks the second straight season Arndt and McMahon have been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America and All-Region First Teams. They are two of four UW-La Crosse student-athletes to be named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Team, joining second team selections Megan Carroll (2017) and Ainsley Allan (2022). Arndt and McMahon were voted to the 2024 NCAA Division III Academic All-America® Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators, with Arndt earning second team honors and McMahon first team accolades. Arndt and McMahon earned their third career United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-America honors in 2024, with Arndt selected to the first team and McMahon to the second team. Both players were named to the 2024 United Soccer Coaches All-Region IX Team. Majoring in archeology and recreation management with a 3.97 cumulative grade point average, Arndt was voted the 2024 WIAC Women’s Soccer Judy Kruckman Scholar Athlete. She is a four-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and was named the 2023 United Soccer Coaches Scholar Player of the Year. She is a member of UW-La Crosse's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and has volunteered for Steppin' Out in Pink and with the UW-La Crosse Vanguard Organization. She started all 22 games in 2024, leading the WIAC with 10 assists, while ranking fifth with 64 shots, eighth with 18 points, and tied for 10th with 23 shots on goal. Arndt had the game-winning goal in a 5-0 victory at UW-Whitewater on Oct. 12. A biology major with a 3.84 cumulative grade point average, McMahon is a four-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. Selected the 2024 WIAC Kwik Trip Defensive Player of the Year for the third straight season, McMahon earned her fourth career All-WIAC First Team selection this year. She is one of four players in school history to be named to the all-conference first team four times. A starter in all 22 games in 2024, McMahon tied for third in the conference with seven assists and tied for ninth with 15 points. She added four goals, while recording 49 shots, including 22 on goal. McMahon had the game-winning goal in a 3-0 victory over UW-Oshkosh on Oct. 5. # # # # #
