The segments will be posted every Thursday and individuals are selected by the institution. The WIAC Student-Athlete Spotlights are presented by Culver's. Name: Catie Fobbe Institution: UW-Eau Claire Hometown (High School): Annandale, Minn. (Maple Lake High School) Year in school: 5th year senior Sports: Women’s Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Majors: Criminal Justice and Political Science with an emphasis in legal studies Minor: Psychology Why did you choose UW-Eau Claire? I chose Eau Claire because of their great criminal justice and political science programs and a beautiful campus with the addition of having a great track team and amazing coaches. What other clubs/organizations on campus are you involved in? SAAC member. What causes do you care about? I am very involved in coaching athletics in my hometown community in order to promote girls and women in sports. What do you like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and being a NCAA Division III student-athlete? It’s one of the most competitive conferences in the country for track & field, making every meet highly competitive. The other thing I love about the conference specifically is the throwers. We spend so much time together that we are each other's biggest support system regardless of school and are still able to be competitive with each other. Dedicated. What is your dream job? Police officer. Three things on your "bucket list"? ---Swim with sharks. ---Travel to all seven continents. ---Elk hunting in Colorado.
