Student-Athlete Spotlight: Trevor Asher, UW-River Falls

Why did you choose UW-River Falls?
I chose UW–River Falls for several reasons. First, the university offered the major I wanted to pursue; Agricultural Business. In addition, when I visited campus, I fell in love with the football team's culture, energy, and sense of community.
 
What other clubs/organizations on campus are you involved in?
Athletes Intervarsity

What do you like most about competing in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and being an NCAA Division III student-athlete?
The thing I enjoy most about competing in the WIAC is the level of competition. Every Saturday is a hard-fought battle, and every game challenges us to perform at our best.

Who is someone that you look up to?
The person I look up to most is my dad. He is the hardest-working person I know and demonstrates incredible discipline in everything he does. His work ethic, consistency, and commitment continue to inspire me every day.
 
Do you have any words of advice for younger/upcoming student-athletes?
Keep your head down, keep working, and always stay focused on improving. At the same time, try to meet people and build strong relationships with your teammates. Those relationships will last far beyond your time here and can become some of the most valuable parts of your college experience.
