UW-La Crosse’s Buchholtz Named USTFCCCA National Coach of the Year

NEW ORLEANS--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Josh Buchholtz has been named the 2026 NCAA Division III Men’s Outdoor National Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
 
Buchholtz secured the award for the seventh time in his career (2013, 2015-17, 24-26). He led UW-La Crosse to the team title at the 2026 NCAA Division III Championship with 106 points, the highest recorded since 1985. UW-La Crosse scored points in 15 different events, including scoring 24 points in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. UW-La Crosse also won the team title at the WIAC Championship (presented by Culver’s) with a meet-record 335 points.
