Men's Swimming and Diving 5/6/2026 12:09:51 PM UW-Whitewater’s Weis Named To Academic All-America® Men’s Swimming & Diving Second Team **UW-Whitewater Sports Information contributed to this release Official CSC Release GREENWOOD, Ind.--University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Caleb Weis has been named to the 2025-26 NCAA Division III Academic All-America® Men’s Swimming & Diving Second Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators. He is the first individual in program history - and fifth in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) history - to secure Academic All-America recognition from the College Sports Communicators Weis, a double major in marketing (emphasis in sports and experiential marketing) and communications (emphasis in public relations), boasts a 4.00 grade point average. He was recognized as the Outstanding Junior from the Communications Department in 2025, and has placed at the top of American Marketing Association Sales Competitions. Weis took first at the Sherwin Williams Team Sell and second at the Enterprise's Perfect Pitch competitions. Weis finished as the runner-up in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the 2026 WIAC championship and 500-yard freestyle in 2025. He has been a member of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that posted runner-up finishes each of the last three years. Weis also competed in the CSCAA Open Water Championship in both 2024 and 2025. In 2024, he finished 72nd overall - second against other Division III swimmers. In the community, Weis has been the president for the past two years for UW-Whitewater's Public Relations Student Society of America organization. The organization was recognized as the Outstanding Student Organization from the UW-Whitewater Communications Department in 2025. To be eligible for the Academic All-District® and Academic All-America® award, a student-athlete must carry a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale, must compete in four competitions or finish top eight at a conference meet, and is at least a sophomore academically and athletically. # # # # #
