COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--Colorado College posted a 20-7 victory over Rhodes College (Ky.) in the second round of the NCAA Division III Lacrosse Championship at Washburn Field on May 10. The Tigers (16-3) will participate in the “Sweet 16” for the second time in the last three years and face Williams College (Mass.) (11-7) at Tufts University (Mass.), beginning at 1:30 p.m. (eastern). Charlotte Iler led all players with 11 points and five Colorado College players had multiple goals against Rhodes (15-4). Iler scored five goals and added six assists, including a helper on each of Colorado College's last four goals. Elsa Greene also scored five goals, a career-high, while Maddie Jenks added three. Iler scored the first goal less than two minutes into the contest, but Rhodes' Maddie Bavier tied it at the 10:46 mark. The Tigers pulled away, scoring the next five goals, including three by Greene, and Colorado College held a 6-2 lead after 15 minutes. The second quarter was much of the same as Colorado College outscored the Lynx, 7-2, with Iler and Jenks each putting home two goals, for a 13-4 halftime advantage and the Tigers never looked back. Greene collected six draw controls, caused a turnover and had one ground ball. Sofia Mancino scored twice and added four draw controls and Grace Weber added a pair of goals. The Tigers outshot Rhodes, 32-21 in total shots and 28-15 in shots on goal. Goaltender Cassidy Schnaufer had eight saves for her 50th career win before giving way to Natalie Bernstein for the final four minutes. Annabelle Kinzel had eight saves for Rhodes. # # # # #
