Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week - March 10

MADISON, Wis.--Following are the WIAC Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of March 3 - 9.

BASEBALL
Position

Carter Stebane, Senior (Brillion, Wis./Brillion), Infield of UW-Oshkosh
Stebane hit .474 (9-for-19) in the Titans’ undefeated road trip to Florida during the week, collecting a triple, four runs, and five RBIs. He hit an RBI single and a two-RBI triple against the University of Dubuque (Iowa) on March 7. In the final two games of the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational, Stebane recorded a pair of runs and an RBI in each game.

Brinkman allowed no runs in seven innings against Keystone College (Pa.) on March 9, for his first win of the season. He allowed two hits and five total baserunners, while striking out eight batters.

WOMEN’S LACROSSE
Offense
Reegan Werner, Junior (Farmington, Minn./Farmington), Midfielder of UW-Eau Claire
Werner set program single-game records for both goals and points in a 25-3 win over Edgewood College (Wis.) on March 7. She scored nine goals to break the previous school record of eight, and tallied 12 points to beat the previous best of 11. Werner also had two assists against No. 17-ranked Colorado College on March 9. She finished the week with nine goals, five assists and 14 points. Werner had five ground balls and three draw controls.

Emilia Bullock, Freshman (Delafield, Wis./Kettle Moraine), Goalie of UW-Stout
Playing in her first collegiate game, Bullock backstopped the Blue Devils to a 12-11 season-opening win over Milwaukee School of Engineering on March 8. She made 18 saves (tied for second most in school history), including making several saves (one a free position shot) in the final 30 seconds to preserve the win. She also had six ground balls.

SOFTBALL
Position
Kelly Aultman, Senior (Plainfield, Ill./North), Infield of UW-River Falls
Aultman had a strong weekend at the plate for UW-River Falls, hitting .583 and slugging 1.667 to help the Falcons go 4-0 at the Auggie Dome Games against Martin Luther College (Minn.) and Crown College (Minn.). She went 7-for-12 with 11 RBIs, six runs, three home runs, and two walks - her two-homer game against Crown highlighted an efficient weekend. Defensively, she recorded seven assists.

Pitcher
Morgan Harwood, Sophomore (Neenah, Wis./Neenah), Righthanded Pitcher of UW-Stevens Point
Harwood went 2-0 and did not allow a run over 17.1 inning pitched as the Pointers went 4-0 at the Millikin University (Ill.) Invitational. On March 8, in the opening game against Hope College (Mich.), she tossed 4.0 innings of one-hit shutout ball with three strikeouts. Harwood had two strikeouts in 2.0 scoreless frames in a 9-7 win over Millikin. She had three more strikeouts against Millikin on March 9, with 3.1 scoreless frames. Harwood returned in the finale of the weekend with 8.0 scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts and just two hits allowed in the win over DePauw University (Ind.). Against Hope and again versus DePauw, she took a perfect game into the fourth inning.
