2025 WIAC Women’s Lacrosse Preview

MADISON, Wis.--Colorado College will seek a second straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) women’s lacrosse regular-season championship during the 2025 campaign.
 
The Tigers secured the inaugural regular-season and tournament titles a year ago and made the program’s 13th NCAA appearance, advancing to the “Sweet 16”. Colorado College returns nine starters from last season, including Evelyn Baher-Murphy and Charlotte Iler. Baher-Murphy was selected the WIAC Defensive Player of the Year, while Iler received WIAC Newcomer of the Year honors.
 
Augsburg University (Minn.), College of Saint Benedict (Minn.) and Hamline University (Minn.) will join the conference as affiliate members. All three institutions previously were members of the Midwest Lacrosse Conference.
 
The 2025 season also welcomes three new head coaches to their respective programs with Hemie Collier at Augsburg, Nick Anagnostis at UW-La Crosse and Mikayla Knudson at UW-Stout. Collier was most recently the associate head coach and defensive coordinator at Cornell College (Iowa) from 2018-24. Anagnostis comes to UW-La Crosse after serving as a volunteer assistant women’s lacrosse coach at Winthrop University (S.C.) in 2024, and was the men’s lacrosse head coach at Wheeling University (W.V.) from 2019-22. Knudson was the interim head coach at Augsburg last year after spending two seasons there as an assistant coach.
 
The nine-game conference schedule begins on March 9. The top-four teams in the standings will secure a spot in the WIAC Tournament (presented by Culver’s) that will be conducted May 2-3 at the highest Wisconsin seed.
