UW-La Crosse’s Caya Claims Academic All-America® Women’s Soccer First Team Accolades

--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse’s Aubree Caya has been named to the 2025 NCAA Division III Academic All-America® Women’s Soccer First Team, selected by the College Sports Communicators.

Caya is the fourth individual in program history to claim Academic All-America® distinction from the College Sports Communicators, joining Kristin Brown (2011), Sophia Anger (2023) and Alexis McMahon (2024).

Majoring in biomedical sciences with a 3.83 grade point average, Caya is a two-year member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Scholastic Honor Roll. She was selected to the United Soccer Coaches All-America First Team this season, claimed United Soccer Coaches All-Region IX First Team honors, and was named the WIAC Offensive Player of the Year.

Caya set single-season school records with 24 goals, 55 points and 91 shots and led the WIAC in goals, points, shots and shots on goal (58) this season. She broke Jennifer Tischaefer’s school records of 19 goals in 1997 and 1999, and 50 points in 1997. Caya's 91 shots broke the single-season school mark of 86 set by Ainsley Allan in 2022.
 
Caya tied for the WIAC lead with four game-winning goals, while finishing tied for seventh with seven assists.
