MADISON, Wis.
--The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced its 2025 All-WIAC Men’s Soccer Team that was selected by the conference coaches.

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Cooper Re was selected the Offensive Player of the Year, while teammate Austin Waite received Goalkeeper of the Year honors. UW-Eau Claire’s Carson Kowalski collected Defensive Player of the Year accolades, and UW-Platteville’s Roberto Salinas and UW-Stevens Point’s Jaxon Buckley shared Newcomer of the Year distinction. UW-Whitewater was tabbed the Coaching Staff of the Year.

Re secured first team honors for the second straight year and leads the conference with 14 goals and 33 points, while tying for 10th with five assists. He is tied for the conference lead with three game-winning goals and has registered hat tricks against Webster University (Mo.) on Sept. 4, and University of Dubuque (Iowa) on Oct. 18. Re has scored at least one point in 13 of 18 contests, including nine multi-point performances.

Waite tops the WIAC with a .642 goals-against-average, allowing eight goals in 1122:07 minutes of playing time. He is third in the conference with 45 saves and has produced four shutouts.

Kowalski claimed first team status for the second consecutive season. He is fourth in the WIAC with 20 points, fifth with seven goals and tied for sixth with six assists. Kowalski has led a Blugolds defense that has recorded eight shutouts.

Salinas has helped the Pioneer defense post nine shutouts and he has added a pair of assists. Buckley is second in the conference with 10 goals and third with 24 points. He is tied for the lead with three game-winning goals. A newcomer is defined as a student-athlete who used his first season of participation in men's soccer this season. Transfers are not eligible unless they didn’t participate in men’s soccer at their previous institution.

Repeat selections on the first team from a year ago include: UW-Eau Claire’s Noah Malcook and Tate McDermott; UW-Platteville’s Ethan Dietrich and Danny Gutzwiller; UW-River Falls’ Sorel Richardson; UW-Stevens Point’s Connor Urban; and UW-Whitewater’s Hayden Saul.

Coaching Staff of the Year honors were presented to UW-Whitewater after the Warhawks earned a share of the conference regular-season title – the fourth WIAC championship in program history. The staff includes head coach Tony Guinn and assistant coaches Steve Domin and Scott Surprise.

An All-Sportsmanship Team was announced for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season. It included one member from each team as selected by that team.
