UW-Eau Claire’s Kowalski and UW-Whitewater’s Re Secure United Soccer Coaches All-America Third Team Recognition; Seven Named All-Region

KANSAS CITY, Mo.
--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Carson Kowalski and UW-Whitewater’s Cooper Re have been named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III All-America Third Team. In addition, seven Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) individuals claimed All-Region IX recognition.
 
Kowalski, the WIAC Defensive Player of the Year, is the second individual in program history to secure All-America distinction, joining Nathan Donovan (2022 and 2024). In conference rankings, Kowalski tied for third with nine goals, tied for fourth with 24 points and tied for sixth with six assists. He led a Blugold defense that recorded 10 shutouts.
 
Re is the second Warhawk to receive All-America accolades, joining Justin Stanko (2015).  The WIAC Offensive Player of the Year, Re led the conference with 16 goals and 37 points, while tying for the lead with three game-winning goals. He posted hat tricks against Webster University (Mo.) on Sept. 4 and University of Dubuque (Iowa) (October 18). His 16 goals rank second in the single-season program records.

Kowalski and Re also secured spots on the All-Region IX First Team. Kowalski was a first team pick for the second straight year.
 
UW-Eau Claire’s Tate McDermott claimed second team honors for the second consecutive season.
 
UW-Platteville’s Danny Gutzwiller, along with UW-Whitewater’s Luka Breslin and Austin Waite were third team selections. Gutzwiller was a first team honoree in 2024.
 
UW-Platteville’s Seth Aiken was a fourth team choice this year after securing first team status last season.
