MEN'S BASKETBALL Brandon Beck, Sophomore (Rockton, Ill./Hillcrest Prep – Ariz.), Forward of UW-Oshkosh Beck was named to the Illinois Wesleyan University Sikma Hall of Fame Invitational All-Tournament Team after averaging 17 points across the Titans’ pair of games during the weekend. He shot 52.6 percent (10-of-19) from the field, 60 percent (6-of-10) from three, and 100 percent (8-of-8) from the line, while adding 3.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game. During UW-Oshkosh’s 94-91 win over No. 21-ranked Maryville College (Tenn.) on Nov. 14, Beck scored 18 points on 6-of-13 from the field, including four three, and 2-of-2 from the charity stripe and recorded three rebounds (two offensive), two assists, two blocks, and a steal. He then registered 17 points on 4-of-6 from the field, 2-of-3 from three, and 6-of-6 from the line with four rebounds and two steals against No. 16-ranked Illinois Wesleyan in the tournament’s championship game on Nov. 15. (Mukwonago) WOMEN’S BASKETBALL Mia Gillis, Junior (Mundelein, Ill./Carmel Catholic), Forward of UW-Whitewater Gillis led the No. 24-ranked Warhawks to a pair of wins in the Champions Classic, including a victory over No. 13-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University. She opened the tournament with 14 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks in UW-Whitewater’s 20-point win over Millikin University (Ill.). Against IWU, Gillis posted 22 points, adding six boards to help UW-Whitewater snap Illinois Wesleyan’s 19-game regular season home win streak. Averaging 18 points and seven rebounds in nearly 32 minutes per game at the tournament, Gillis was named the Champions Classic MVP. (Farmington) FOOTBALL Offense Nathan Uselding, Sophomore (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington), Quarterback of UW-Platteville Uselding wrapped up the regular season with a strong performance in a 55-28 road win over UW-Eau Claire. He completed 20-of-26 pass attempts for 301 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception in the victory. Uselding threw a pair of touchdowns in the first half from 35 and 36 yards out and added scores from 29 and 25 yards in the second half to extend the Pioneers lead. He had a tackle for loss, forced a fumble, recovered a fumble, had two pass break-ups and blocked a PAT in the contest. (Lockport) Special Teams Michael Stack, Senior (Oshkosh, Wis./Oshkosh West), Kicker of UW-La Crosse Stack went five-of-five in extra-point attempts and converted a 28-yard field goal in UW-La Crosse's 52-0 victory at UW-Stevens Point on Nov. 15. He improved to 35-of-35 in extra-points this season and 131-of-131 in his career. Stack is second in career extra-points made in program history and tied for second in attempts. (Medford) MEN’S ICE HOCKEY Arhip Sidarovich, Freshman (Minsk, Belarus), Forward of UW-Stout Sidarovich helped the Blue Devils to two wins over the weekend. He tallied two goals and two assists for four points in UW-Stout's 8-2 win over Bethel University (Minn.) and 6-2 win over St. John’s University (Minn.). All three of his points vs SJU were in the 3rd period. He scored the game winner on a snipe from the top of the circle. Then later added an assist and scored shorthanded to ice the game. He also won 15 faceoffs and had 6 total shots over the weekend. He finished first in the 100- and 200-yard backstroke with times of 1:00.04 and 2:11.78, respectively, and the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:01.87. (Andover) WOMEN’S SWIMMING & DIVING Swimming Callee DeBruin, Freshman (Kimberly, Wis./Seton Home Study School), of UW-Oshkosh DeBruin won three individual events in a dual at St. Norbert College (Wis.) on Nov. 15. She won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:00.82, the 50-yard freestyle in 25.47 seconds, and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:24.99 before swimming anchor in the Titans’ second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay. She won the three-meter diving event with 191.55 points and was the runner-up in the one-meter competition, just 0.37 points off the lead. (Oak Creek) WRESTLING Tate Flege, Junior (La Crosse, Wis./La Crosse Aquinas), 184 pounds of UW-La Crosse Flege went 4-0 to capture the 184-pound division at the Luther College (Iowa) Open on Nov. 15. After a first-round bye, he won by fall (2:01) over Cal Ries of UW-Platteville in the second round and by major decision (10-0) over Zak McPhee of UW-Eau Claire in the quarterfinals. Flege won by decision (1-0) over Dominic Mann of St. Cloud State University (Minn.) in the semifinals and won the title with a decision (2-1) over Brandt Bombard of Augsburg University (Minn.). Bombard is currently ranked first in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) and was a finalist at the 2025 NCAA Division III Championship.
