Men's Soccer 11/16/2025 8:15:32 PM UW-Eau Claire and UW-Whitewater Complete NCAA Men’s Soccer Competition MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and UW-Whitewater completed their NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship action over the weekend. UW-Eau Claire fell 2-1 to Macalester College (Minn.) in the second round at John Leaney Field at Macalester Stadium in St. Paul, Minn., on Nov. 16. The Blugolds completed the 2025 campaign with a 13-3-4 record and won the WIAC Tournament after securing a share of the regular season conference title. UW-Eau Claire earned a spot in the second round with a 3-1 triumph over Milwaukee School of Engineering in the first round. UW-Whitewater came up short after a 0-0 draw in double overtime against Washington University in St. Louis (Mo.) (13-3-1) and the Bears advanced 3-1 in penalty kicks. The Warhawks finished the season with a 14-3-3 record and claimed a piece of the regular season conference crown. UW-Whitewater made its 15th NCAA appearance. For UW-Eau Claire against Macalester (17-4), the Scots converted a penalty kick in the 62nd minute for a 1-0 lead. Tate McDermott scored an equalizing goal in the 64th minute, assisted by Carmelo Kasim. Macalester scored the game winner in the 81st minute off a corner kick. McDermott, Sean Redmond and Ramzi Ouri each recorded a shot on goal for the Blugolds. In UW-Whitewater’s contest against WashU, Austin Waite made eight saves for the Warhawks, including three in the final 10 minutes of regulation. With less than a minute on the clock, the Warhawks had one of their best looks on the net, but Cooper Re’s shot was deflected into the keeper's end to send the game into extra time. Mason Dierks led UW-Whitewater with two shots on goal. # # # # #
