Women's Lacrosse 5/8/2024 11:58:05 AM All-WIAC Women’s Lacrosse Team Announced Printable PDF of the 2024 All-WIAC Women's Lacrosse Team MADISON, Wis.--Colorado College’s Kendall Havill, Evelyn Baher-Murphy and Charlotte Iler were selected the Kwik Trip Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year, respectively, while Southwestern University’s Raquel Kurth was tabbed the Kwik Trip Midfielder of the Year to lead the individuals chosen to the 2024 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women’s Lacrosse Team by the league coaches. In addition, UW-River Falls was chosen the Kwik Trip Coaching Staff of the Year. Havill has 82 goals this season - a program record. She leads the conference with 104 points and 139 shots, while ranking sixth with 22 assists. Havill set a program single-game mark with nine goals against University of Chicago (Ill.) on March 16. Baher-Murphy places second in the WIAC with 24 caused turnovers and seventh with 43 ground balls. She spearheads a defense that allowed only 32 goals against conference opponents. Kurth is second in the WIAC with 114 shots, third with 60 goals and eighth with 63 points. She also is tied for third with 69 draw controls and 10th with 34 ground balls. Her 11 goals against UW-Stevens Point on April 5, broke the school single-game record and are the most in the conference this season. Iler is fourth in the conference with 50 goals and tied for sixth with 68 points. A newcomer is defined as a student-athlete who used her first season of participation in women’s lacrosse this season. Transfers are not eligible unless they didn’t participate in women’s lacrosse at their previous institution. UW-River Falls compiled a 12-7 record this season, including a 5-1 mark in WIAC action. The coaching staff includes head coach Talia Hayes, along with assistant coaches Bryan Pater and Jordan Ruggeri, and goalie coach Grace Ross. An All-Sportsmanship Team was named for individuals that displayed exemplary sportsmanship throughout the season.
