UW-La Crosse's Hernandez and UW-Eau Claire's Crawford Named WIAC Kwik Trip Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week

MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's Maggie Hernandez and UW-Eau Claire's Paige Crawford have been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 17 - 23.

Hernandez (So., F, Green Bay, Wis./Preble) had four goals and two assists in a pair of UW-La Crosse victories during the week. She tallied four goals and one assist in a 7-0 win over the University of Dubuque (Iowa) on Oct. 19. She had eight shots, including five on goal. Hernandez became the fourth player in school history to score at least four goals in a game. Hernandez then had an assist in the Eagles' 3-0 win over UW-Oshkosh on Oct. 22. She had four shots with two on goal as UW-La Crosse remained undefeated in WIAC play.
 
Crawford (Fr., D, Elk River, Minn./Elk River) was at the heart of the Blugold defense that posted three shutouts during the week. UW-Eau Claire held UW-River Falls to zero shots on goal in a 4-0 win, and allowed three shots on target each in wins over UW-Stevens Point and St. Norbert College (Wis.).
