Nine Receive College Player Award of Distinction From United Soccer Coaches

MADISON, Wis.--Nine Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) individuals have received the 2020-21 College Player Award of Distinction from the United Soccer Coaches.
 
Student-athletes from the WIAC collecting the honor included: UW-La Crosse’s Tori Barnhart, Natalie Jamison and Kaitlyn Villars; UW-Stevens Point’s Meaghan Ambelang, Lexi Pawlowski and Gracie Wendels; and UW-Whitewater’s Anna Boyd, Anna Brodjian and Katy Kusswurm.
 
The new College Player Award of Distinction was established for member head coaches to submit deserving player based on one or more of the following criteria: player has achieved quality performance on the field; represented the highest ideals of team leadership; exhibited quality character attributes including sportsmanship and respect for teammates, opponents, officials and the game in general; made other significant contributions to the benefit of the program and the community.
