Women's Outdoor Track and Field 4/20/2021 9:15:30 AM UW-La Crosse's Banie and UW-Eau Claire's Wallace Named WIAC Kwik Trip Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's Katie Banie and UW-Eau Claire's Megan Wallace have been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for the week of April 12-18. Banie (Jr., Sheboygan, Wis./South) won the 800-meter run (2:13.08) and a was a member of the winning 4x400-meter relay (3:52.30) as UW-La Crosse won the four-team Ashton May-Phil Esten Meet on April 16-17. Her time of 2:13.08 in the 800-meter run ranks third on the NCAA Division III Honor Roll and first in the WIAC. The 4x400-meter relay, which also included Emma Lawrence, Savannah Rygiewicz and Claire Koenecke, ranks second in NCAA Division III and first in the conference. Wallace (Sr., Burlington, Wis./Burlington) won the heptathlon at the UW-La Crosse Ashton May-Phil Esten Meet with a score of 5,471, which broke the NCAA Division III record of 5,467 in the event by Kim Oden of Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1992. Wallace also is ranked first in NCAA Division III and conference with her long jump mark of 18-11 1/4 (5.77m). Also nominated for track: UW-Oshkosh, Riley Kindt, Freshman, Brookfield, Wis.
