UW-Whitewater’s Meinerz Collects AFCA All-America First Team Honors

MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Quinn Meinerz has been selected to the 2019 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) NCAA Division III All-America First Team.
 
A junior offensive lineman, Meinerz secured All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) First Team honors for the second straight year and helped the Warhawks claim a share of the WIAC title – the program’s 37th championship. UW-Whitewater earned a spot in the NCAA Division III Championship and will participate in the quarterfinals on Dec. 7.
 
Behind Meinerz's blocking, UW-Whitewater owns the conference's top rushing offense, which averages 191.5 yards per game. The Warhawks also lead the league in first downs (253) and rank second in sacks against (16), and average 31.3 points per contest. UW-Whitewater has been represented on the AFCA All-America First Team five of the last six seasons.
