Matt Moore was named the WIAC Coordinator of Baseball Umpires in September, 2022. Moore has been involved with baseball umpiring for more than 30 years. He umpired games in NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, as well as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Moore worked the 2013 NCAA Division III World Series as one of two crew chiefs. He umpired five NCAA Division III Regionals, including one as crew chief (2013) and assistant crew chief (2012).
Since 2015, he has served as the coordinator of baseball umpires for the Midwest Conference, American Rivers Conference, and College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin. Since 2023, he has also served as the coordinator of baseball umpires for the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference. He assigns two schools independently: Waldorf University (Iowa) and the University of Chicago (Ill.). Moore has worked with the Collegiate Baseball Umpire Alliance to teach new umpires and promote umpires into the championship rotation, as well as higher levels of college and professional baseball.
Moore resides in Little Rock, Ark., and is a table games shift manager for Saracen Casino Resort. He graduated from University of Florida and earned a bachelor of science in journalism.
