Rena Whitehouse was named the WIAC Coordinator of Women's Lacrosse Officials in January 2024. She is an experienced NCAA lacrosse official and certified officials clinician and observer. Whitehouse has over 15 years of experience assigning women’s lacrosse officials at the NCAA Division I, II and III levels, as well as the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Her assigning experience includes handling the coordination of officials for 35 programs representing the USA South Athletic Conference, Big South Conference, Conference Carolinas and Southern Athletic Conference.
Whitehouse has been active for over 25 years as a leader of lacrosse officials at the local, regional and national levels, for both USA Lacrosse and the Collegiate Women’s Lacrosse Officiating Association (CWLOA). She served as the state liaison for the CWLOA for Nebraska, Iowa and Kansas from 2015-2020. From 2004-16, Whitehouse was co-chair of the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association/USA Lacrosse Coach and Umpire’s Committee. In 2024, she became a Certified Educator with World Lacrosse. She was inducted into the inaugural class of the Georgia Lacrosse Foundation Hall of Fame in 2005.
On the field, Whitehouse has been selected to officiate many conference championships and NCAA tournament contests, including the 2023 NCAA Division II Final Four, and conference championships for the Big East Conference, Pac-12 Conference and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Whitehouse also is an executive coach with KNP Communications, in addition to a career coach with Randstad RiseSmart, Inc. She resides in Longmont, Colo., and graduated from Connecticut College (Conn.) with a bachelor of arts degree in history. Whitehouse was a four-year starter on the women’s lacrosse team.
