Julie Voeck was named WIAC Coordinator of Women’s Volleyball Officials in July 2001. Voeck has significant experience as a volleyball referee and held a variety of leadership roles. She is President of the Professional Association of Volleyball Officials (PAVO) - the national training and certification organization for volleyball officials. She also serves as the chair of the Rules Committee for USA Volleyball - the committee is responsible for the volleyball playing rules and developing the USA Volleyball rulebook.

In 2024, Voeck began her term as the NCAA Secretary-Rules Editor for Women's Volleyball. She will serve in the role for four years..

Voeck currently holds a national referee certification. She officiates professional women's volleyball and men's NCAA volleyball. Prior to retiring from officiating NCAA women's volleyball, she officiated several conference championships, as well as NCAA national championships. Voeck was selected as a referee for the finals of the 2011 and 2020 NCAA Division I Women's Championships. In addition, she officiated the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championships in 2012, 2013 and 2021. She was also selected to officiate the NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball national championships four times.

Voeck officiated as an international referee from 2004-18. In 2020, she was named to the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) Referee Commission. NORCECA is the international volleyball confederation that includes North America, Central America and the United States.

In 2024, Voeck was selected for the newly created USA Volleyball Officials Development Program focused on developing and training the pipeline of officials for international officiating.

Voeck served on the board of National Association of Sports Officials from 2015-19.

Voeck holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from UW-Madison and a master’s degree in business administration from UW-Milwaukee. She is Executive Director, Regulatory and Legislative Affairs for Next Era Energy. Voeck resides in Wauwatosa, Wis.
